Signs of Alzheimer’s

Many symptoms of mental disorders and dementia intertwine. For instance, patients who are aging normally and those who suffer from Alzheimer’s may both suffer from forgetfulness.   • Memory loss both long-term and short-term, e.g. events, places, names, faces, tasks, etc.
  • Repetition
  • Wandering and/or getting lost
  • Losing track of time
  • Problems counting or solving problems
  • Language problems
  • Decline in hygiene and upkeep
  • Hallucinations
  • Apathy
  • Depression
  • Distinct changes in mood and personality
  • Sleeping disorders
  • Anxiety, anger, confusion, and/or violence triggered by noises, conversations and/or crowds
  • Sundowning: greater confusion, tremors, irritability, aggression, and possibly violence at night.
